Fourth of July Hairbow

Update: I have added this hair bow to my Etsy shop, Florabella Boutique

As Fourth of July quickly approaches, I made this little bow for my daughter. :-)  I might even make another one to use it for pigtails.

What do you think? What have you made for the Fourth?
Happy crafting!

What I've been up to - Wednesday

I'm currently working on a couple of Fourth of July hairbows! I'm so excited about them, especially because I really like the ribbon I found for it.

I also have to tell you that I got a new sewing book! Little Girls, Big Style by Mary Abreu. I absolutely love all the designs in the book! My two year old daughter said "nice, nice, NICE" when she saw it! :-)

In other words, my daughter approved the purchase! ha!

Chocolate Souffle Recipe - A Flourless Chocolate Dessert

Mmmmm Chocolate! I absolutely love anything chocolaty, and how could I say no to a warm chocolate dessert that is smoother than mousse and tasty tastier than brownies, yet flourless!?!

I have to tell you that this is the perfect dessert when needing a chocolate fix and you only have chocolate and butter at home! That's right, save your brownie mix and flour for another time! Just make sure you've got eggs and chocolate chips!

I was really happy to have the best assistant in the world help me out with the very first step to make chocolate souffles. My 2-year old daughter did an excellent job coating the ramekins with butter. She looked like quite the expert!

The recipe was adapted from Emeril found here.

*Chocolate Souffle is meant to be served in ramekins so the chocolate stays warm.

2 teaspoons butter, room temperature1/2 cup sugar8 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped4 large egg whites3 large egg yolks
