Ocean Theme Birthday Party

I did an Ocean theme for my Little Guy's First Birthday party, as his birthday is the only one that falls in the middle of summer. I was really excited with the opportunity to do a 'summery' party.

Anyways, I chose the Ocean and it was a very easy theme to put together.

First of all, I looked for a set of digital papers to make the banner. I found one on Etsy that I thought was just perfect. I used the Cricut for cutting out the circles, the letters, and the ocean waves. Then we blew up balloons to recreate the sky and the sun. :-)

For the backdrop, I used a plastic table cover from Dollar Tree. It was a great size (covered the whole wall), easy to use material, and just perfect for the party.
The crabs came from JoAnn's and can also be found at most craft stores.
I also used ocean theme stickers like fish, star fish, and turtles to decorate the ocean.
My friend A came over and she made the paper boats for us. Those turned out adorable!

The cake also had waves and matched the colors of the balloons.

We decorated the table with foam stickers and pails to add on to the ocean theme.

As a photo prop, I got googles, pails, and shovels. We had lots of fun pretending to be in the ocean!

Happy Party Planning!

Bilingual Seasons of the Year Printable

I have two children and both of them are growing up bilingually. I speak to them in Spanish all day, while my husband speaks to them in English and Spanish. We have been checking the weather on a daily basis to know when's the best time to go outside to play with water or to take a family walk.  We also check the weather to see the temperature in other states where other family members currently live.  Here's a copy of the seasons of the year printable that I made. It's available in a pdf file for you to use at home with your children or in your classroom.  The images that I used to make the Seasons of the Year - Bilingual English Spanish poster come from this website  Seasons of the Year - Bilingual English / Spanish Free Printable Click here to download the .pdf file. ~Fabi
