For the love of Chihuahuas...

I gotta admit that chihuahuas had been at the bottom of my list for breeds of dogs that I liked until I saw the movieBeverly Hills Chihuahua.  That movie tells the story of Chloe, a fancy and groomed dog that falls in love with Papi, a gardener's working dog that is also a Chihuahua.
Now Chihuahuas have a different meaning and are so much more cute to me than they ever were before. Lol.
I'm adding this pattern byjaraveeto make a chihuahua that could fit in a tea cup. Just look at how adorable this is!!!  Link to the pattern on Etsy, here

How to Photograph your Crafts

1.Use natural light – I take my pictures by a window. The ideal lightning is early in the morning and in the evenings, but the best time that works for me is during nap time, so I end up taking most photos around 2pm. Not ideal, but it works for me.I go by the window and set up a white foam board where I can set my items. Then I take pictures of the product making sure it gets all the light. You see, when I take a picture my ultimate goal is for my viewers to be able to see the product in the same way I am able to see it in person.

2.Show different angles - Imagine you are at the store shopping, you pick up an item and look at it all over: the front, the back, the sides, the seams, etc. Those who shop online want to get the ‘whole’ picture (no pun intended!) of the product before making a purchase.
Try to show the size of your product. You can measure it and write it out in your description, but people tend to go by visuals, so show them the size of your baby shoes in comparison to yo…

Shopping for t-shirts

My boys are HUGE fans of Curious George to the point that one of them tries to be as sneaky as George. I found these cute shirts on Zulily (affiliate links) that I have just added on my list to purchase for Christmas.

Which is your favorite one? Let me know in the comments which is your favorite.

My favorite are the yellow t-shirts and the red hoodie I posted at the bottom.

Reindeer Crochet Ornament - Free Pattern

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer is one of my favorite Christmas songs and I am very often found in the kitchen humming this sweet melody. Oh how I love this song, so much that a few days ago I sat down with my yarn, hook, and notebook, and began the process of making my own Rudolph.
Today, I am sharing my pattern with you and hope you can use it too! I'll be hanging my Rudolph ornament on my Christmas tree this year.
Let me know in the comments what kind of handmade ornaments you will be hanging on your tree this year.

Can I have an Elsa braid?

My daughter has become a huge fan of braids ever since watching Frozen. I now find myself braiding her hair several times a week and we both enjoy it! We get to spend some quality girl time together talking and doing her hair.  I have to admit that I have enjoyed learning new braids, some that I had thought would be impossible to do like the fish tail...  Now it's her favorite, because it makes her feel more like Elsa with a side braid. Other times we do two braids, because she says she likes Anna just as much.  Is your daughter the same way?

This YouTube video by Luxy Hair was so clear and had terrific instructions on how to do it. Aha!  Watch it a few times and then practice on your girl. You will both love it!

Have fun and happy braiding!
